The Wake Institute is a freestyle learning facility that will help you get to where you want to be, and further. We have an exciting approach to watersports that will help you build on your strengths and develop your own unique athletic style, and we’re sure you wont mind the homework. The Wake Institute provides an exceptional learning environment where students earn a respected degree in shredding. Bright, articulate students seek the Wake Institute – and when they graduate, they’re ready to make a mark on the competitive scene, or enjoy a leasurely water sports lifestyle.
A young, innovative school, the Wake Institute was founded in 2009 by Ontario’s top coaches on the belief that learning is an individual, life-long pursuit – and that student choice, flexibility, and the opportunity for interdisciplinary study are part of a high quality water sports education. These key principles continue to define the Wake Institute’s unique character today.
Inclusive and innovative with a focus on the individual student, the Wake Institute program is tailored to suite each students goals. Both the Ennismore and Bobcaygeon campuses are known for their supportive community environment and emphasis on creating a fun learning atmosphere. A Wake Insititute education provides students with a solid foundation in the wakesports of their choice as well as a support network to help achieve their desired level of personal success and involvement in the wakesport scene.
We have a diverse and experienced faculty that work together to provide the ultimate on-water experience. We have two campuses located at either end of Pigeon Lake in the Kawarthas to best serve our students, only the best equipment from Liquid Force and Mastercraft, this coupled with our extensive knowledge and training methods makes for an awesome facility.
All of our faculty are involved in the watersports industry because we love all aspects of towed watersports and teaching. Through this experience we can offer instruction rivaled by no one. We offer years of wakeboarding and towed watersports instruction experience at a variety of levels and locations. The Wake Institute knows that advanced instruction transcends ability levels and ages. We develop watersports skills for all levels. We can teach you for the first time all the way to a competitive level, from 2 years old to as mature as 65, we have taught them all!
The Wake Institutes coaching through the buckeye team and TID all girls clinics helped me develop the skills and confidence I needed to compete in the National Championships and win my first gold.
