We got our first shipment of our 2011 liquid force gear from Buckeye Surf and Snow and we are getting excited for the snow to melt and our season to begin! We have big plans for the upcoming season and will be keeping you updated as we roll out some of the new fun programs for 2011!

The Wake Institute in partnership with Throw It Down and Buckeye Marine was lucky to be able to host Queen Of Wake and World Champion Nicola Butler for a two day clinic. Nicola rides for Mastercraft, Oakley, and Company Wakeboards. Both clinics were packed and the level of riding was off the hook! Everyone learned something, and Nicola was teaching everything from two wake jumps to mobes.

Clinic participants were lucky enough to watch Nicola do some demo rides and throw down some of the hardest tricks a female wakeboarder has ever landed on a wakeboard!

The Wake Institute is very proud of our Buckeye Wake Team this season! The kids progressed so much over the summer, every single team member claimed a spot on the podium at some point this season.  A special shout out to Harrison for winning Ripcurls grom search this year and Jenn Evans for all of her podium wins that lead her to win quest for gold again this season!  Good work kids!

Today the wake institute slider park got another new edition… the fun box.  Ally, Vince and I all took a set on it and pretty much came to the conclusion that FUN is a serious understatement and we’ll have to come up with a new name for this slider…. anyone have any ideas?  Check out some photos from the day….

To kick off the summer TID is hosting a free girls ride day at the Wake Institute in Bobcaygeon. The day will take place on the Sunday of Canada Day weekend, July 4th. The day will include a yoga, a BBQ, free wave runner sets in the slider park bay, and lots of prizes and give aways!   The slider bay is the ideal place to learn to hit your first slider, try out our more advanced sliders, or just get some buttery flat water for your wakeskating pleasure. There will also be sleep over spots available and camping for those who have a far commute or those who want to stay and participate in part or all of our 3 day clinic at the Wake Institute starting the following Monday.

The day will include lots of fun activities, music and more. Pulls will be first come first serve and we will be giving out prizes from our sponsors including Ripcurl, Osiris Shoes and more!

The Wake Insitute is so proud of the Buckeye Team and their participation at the Canadian National Wakeboard competition in Peterborough Ontario. The entire team was there in full force cheering for each other and letting everyone know the meaning of team this season. We are proud of all our coaches and students whom competed this year with a special props to National Champion Jenn Evans!
