Wakeskate 101: Waverunner Jam Session:

This is an exclusive program to The Wake Institute. At The Wake Institute we recognized that wakeskating is a different sport from wakeboarding and thus requires a different learning method. This clinic allows those interested in excelling at the revolutionary sport of wakeskating the maximum potential for improvement. We understand that like skateboarding, wakeskating involves a great deal of trial and error, so to maximize on this concept we use The Wake Institute wave runner to allow for maximum amount of time riding. This allows instructors to give brief technique pointers and progressively work out all tricks in wakeskating from the most basic to the most advanced.

Varsity Wakeboarding – The Buckeye Wakeboard Team:

The Wake Institute is honored to be the exclusive home to the Buckeye Wakeboard Team. We organize a progression and training schedule for the Buckeye Team who competes and represents Buckeye Marine across Ontario. We volunteer to provide a fun and exciting training, guest professors from all over to help broaden our team in both their on water skills and their presence in wakeboarding as a whole. Although we enjoy having winners, (11 Medalists including wakestock, provincial and national champions) our focus is on teamwork and sportsmanship. Although wakeboarding can be considered an individual sport we take the team approach and it works. No team member leaves the dock at a competition or show without the entire team behind them.
